Poem: That Delicious Life

The life I want is a slow life

Filled with delicious moments

That replay in my head like yesterday

Where I can taste them with my eyes closed

Just like kisses that take my breath away

Where anger does not take flight or linger

Because the time is simply too precious.

Where eye contact is as decadent as ice cream.

Where holding hands is as delicate as holding space

And one’s soul never feels restless.
